Google spreadsheet integration, split responses to multiple spreadsheets

I created a registration form where parents enter their information and the information of up to four kids they are registering for baseball/softball. I would like to take the information entered and have it create a separate record for each child registered (as well as the parent's contact for each child). For example, if four kids are registered four records would be created when the form is submitted with a record for each child.

Additionally I would like to have the form pass info to another spreadsheet when submitted.. for example, a clothing spreadsheet that would display each child registered and the clothing selections for each.

As far as I can tell the google spreadsheet integration will only allow single records to be transferred.

I contemplated creating a single form for each child being registered that would pass through to a google spreadsheet, but am concerned that information can be entered and submitted but then payment aborted essentially creating erroneous records.  Now thinking creating a separate form for each child would be best, but how can I prevent all of the forms from writing to the respective google spreadsheet until payment is processed?

    Hello,

In the case of creating separate records for each child and In the matter of the form submitting to another spreadsheet, unfortunately these are not possible. So the best solution you have for a child with separate record for each would be having to do a submission per child.

Regarding making payments and the submission getting forwarded to Google Spreadsheet, the submission going to the integration will only happen after the submission gets completed. While the payment is pending, nothing will be forwarded.

If in case I missed something on your concerns, please let us know.

So hypothetically I could create a separate form for each child and they wouldn't be submitted until payment is processed/submit button is hit?

    Hi,

That is correct. To clarify more, if there is a payment option in the form, the payment transaction must be a successful or completed submission first before the integration to the google spreadsheet will occur.

If each separate form for each chield have paymnet option, they will all behave similarly during submission.

Let us know if still not clear.

    Thanks.

Ah, I didn't fully comprehend your answer.

So to utilize a multiform registration each form with a registered child would have to have a payment button? What I'm looking for would have the following... is it possible?

    Form 1

    Parents Info

    Next button

    Form 2

    Child One's Info

Parent's info would be passed through from form 1

    Calculate registration fee for child

    Next button

    Form 3

    Child Two's Info

Parents info would be passed through from form 1 and/or 2

Calculate registration fee for child two & add to fee from child one

    Next button

    Form 4

    Waiver

Submit/Payment button that would send parent to paypal with total registration fee

Only after the submit button on form four is pressed and payment is completed would the information from forms 2 & 3 be pushed to respective google spreadsheet (would even be nice to have it pushed to the same spreadsheet as fields would be identical.) My concern is that if I have submit buttons on forms 2 & 3 the information will be pushed to the spreadsheet at that time and the user could back out of payment and I wouldn't be any wiser.

    Hello jaysecreast,

Thank you for elaborating your intended process.

Unfortunately, on the 1st few forms before making payment, the submission will go to the Google Spreadsheet integration immediately. Only the last form which has the payment process will only have the capacity to wait for the submission to be completed before the submitted information will be forwarded to Google Spreadsheet.  This is because, each form is independent from each other.

So while it's possible to transfer information from one form to another, it's not possible for the spreadsheet integration of the earlier forms to be dependent to the last form's conclusive payment.
