What is the limit of storage of external file uploads such as Kloudless?Asked by designfuelph on July 05, 2016 at 10:35 PM
What is the limit of storage of external file uploads such as Kloudless?
Does it compress the files that were being uploaded?
Kloudless widget was developed by a fellow JotForm user. Any users can create their custom widgets using JotForm's Widget API. Since this is custom built by this user, the upload limits will not be counted in your JotForm's upload space. The limit is dependent on this widget developer's Kloudless account.
If you have any questions or suggestions, you can post it on its widget page under reviews http://widgets.jotform.com/widget/kloudless_file_uploader and the widget developer might be able to assist you.
If you have further questions, do let us know.
Thank you for answering, but my question is if Kloudless account itself has limits on bandwidth and storage and if it has I'd like to know how much. Does it always compress the files? I like the widget, but I am not sure about its capacity so I am thinking of just integrating everything to google drive
Yes, the Kloudless account has limits. That's base on their pricing page https://kloudless.com/pricing/.
However, we do not know what account type the developer has availed with Kloudless (if he is using free or paid account) so we could not give you any further info about the storage or the bandwidth limit of the developer's account who created this widget.
To clarify further, the Kloudless API used on this widget is owned privately by the user who developed the Kloudless widget so any information regarding the storage status of his account is something that we do not know.
With regards to compression, I checked the kloudless widget source and I don't see anywhere in the code that is uses compression unless it is done on the server side which so far I could not find in the kloudless documentation.
Hope this information helps!
