Summing up responses using Matrix

    Hi

I have published a survey where I have 30 people names in rows. They find their name and choose from 1 of 6 options (columns) using a radio button.

I was hoping that I could see a summary of all of the 6 options as a summary. For example 10 people have chosen number 1 etc..

Is this possible with the Matrix table I have created?

    Thanks

    Ian

    Hello Ian,

That can be possible with using the Visual Reports. You can learn more about visual reports from this user guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/187-How-to-Create-a-Visual-Report-with-Your-Form-Submissions

If you have questions, feel free to let us know.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Thanks but I can't see in VR where I can get a summary where all respondents answers are summarised. I have sent the survey to 30 people and they have completed the survey but I can only seem to get their individual answers. I need a summary where I see 15 choose x and 10 choose y and 5 choose z.

    Hopefully you can help?

    Hello Ian,

I've cloned and tested your form. I am not able to reproduce any issue on your cloned form.Could you please create the visual as you see below:

After that, you can see how many people choose the x, y, z as you see below:

    Hi,
When I do the same I only get the response from one person. Is there a selection I need to make to report on the whole data set? See the screenshot here

Thank you for providing the screenshot of your issue. I am not sure but currently, visual report feature counts all the selected choices on the matrix table by column. For good measure, I will test again and get back to you as soon as possible.
