Multiple Upload: File upload is failing in IE10

Asked by Chris on July 06, 2016 at 09:59 AM

Dropbox: Why submissions are not being sent to Dropbox anymore?

Are we experiencing CORS issues between Jotform and Dropbox if the form is embedded on our site? There for a while, it was working fine but something must've changed recently.

This is a re-post of a comment on Upload to Dropbox with JotForm

I have just tested the integration with Dropbox and I can see it is working fine, I tested with a form that already had the integration and with a new one, both are working fine.

Could you please try removing and adding the integration again?

This should fix any issue between the current integration, if there is one, and your integration should work fine.

Please do let us know if it helps.

I went ahead and cloned the form and re-integrated Dropbox.  The issue persists.  A little background.. if the form is embedded on our site, and filled out on Internet Explorer, the issue persists but if it is filled out with Chrome, it works fine.  On the other hand, if the form is access directly (off of our site), the form will work fine in both Internet Explorer and Chrome.

If you'd like the link to the embedded form, let me know.

There is likely something in your page causing the a conflict with the form.  Try replacing your curent embed code with your forms iFrame code:

    http://www.jotform.com/help/148-Getting-the-Form-iFrame-Code

This will ensure the embedded form functions the same as it does when not embedded.

Same issue if the iframe is embedded on the page.  The snippet is being added to a script editor on a SharePoint page.  If you'd like to check it out -- go to http://www.daktronics.com/en-us/Partners/Jotform.

I am not sure what could be causing the issue.  If the form works on its own it should work properly in the iFrame unless there is something else interacting with the forms submit action.  You can try adding the form as a Web Part:

    https://www.jotform.com/help/152-Adding-a-form-to-SharePoint

But I'm not sure if that would change the functionality at all.

We had tried using the snippet recommended for SharePoint as well and still encountered the same issue.

Is there a minimum browser support that is required for the form to work properly?  In doing some additional testing, our site is rendering the page in IE10 but if this is changed in the dev tool to Edge, the file upload and attachment to the form will work just fine.

We do not have a list of compatible browsers, but in general the forms should work properly in modern browsers and IE9+ too.

I was only able to reproduce an upload error in IE10 when used a Multiple Upload field.

A bug report has been added to our system. We will let you know if we have any updates on this.

In the meantime, you may consider using Single Upload field(s). They should work properly in IE10 and other browsers.

I'm getting the same exact errors that you're showing in the screenshot - on IE11 as well. Access Control Allow Origin Header as well as XMLHttpRequest Network Error 0x2ef3. The form had been working fine until recently.

Is this a bug that your team is able to fix? Can you provide any updates on their progress in this matter? We cannot use the single upload fields in our case as we need users to be able to upload 15 images

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

This has been assigned to a developer and we will indeed let you know via this thread when there are any updates as to the status of the ticket.

Thank you David. I have also opened my own thread as I was unsure if it was appropriate for me to just chime in on someone else's thread. I also provided a screenshot from my form there, hopefully it helps.
