    API whitelist IP's

Hi, we will be making several calls to the API, does the response come from the same URL?, and are the whitelist IP's here - http://www.jotform.com/help/145-Whitelisting-JotMails-IP-Addresses  the same as what I should use for the API responses from jotform?

    Thanks,

    Phillip

I'm not entirely sure I understand your question but it seems to me that you are asking if the whitelisting is necessary to use the api.

No, neither are related and the api depends on the purpose such as a widget and your location.

So for instance your ip for your jotform account indicates you are located in the us which means your api with us would use http://api.jotform.com

Please see https://www.jotform.com/help/253-How-to-create-a-JotForm-API-key and our API Docs.

The whitelist jotform ip's on the otherhand is more intended for if you are not receiving emails from us which is why it mentioned emails at the start of the guide.

We will be calling API's to create webhooks, the webhook in turn, repsonds to form submissions, at which point the webhook sends info to another service of ours.

I need to whitelist the IP's for the webhook that will be sending the info to us.

I think that the API calls are covered by Cloudflare protection, so that the IPs are most likely different each time.

I have forwarded a ticket to our Backend Team to get more information on this topic. We will let you know when we have any updates on this.

Unfortunately not yet, my colleague Mike has sent opened this as a ticket for one of our developers to either inform you or us about to update you about this so we will let you know as soon as we can.

Generally, our developers try to get to each ticket as quickly as they can but it mainly depends on the workload they have ahead of your thread so for that reason we don't promise any timeframes.

Not sure why this would need to go to a dev, this should be readily available info related to using webhooks.

All i need to know is this - when the webhook on your side initiates the connection to my side, what are the IP's that the webhook traffic is coming from?

We are sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused. Unfortunately, we at support do not have this particular information ready at the moment and so a request has been sent to our backend team for more accurate information. Let me send a note to our backend team to see if we have any information in this regard.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

There is none whitelist for our api. You can freely use our api without any ip restriction.
