Over 80 Missing Form Fields! Where Are They?

Asked by Realtorjohnf on March 29, 2012 at 04:40 PM

I'm very concerned about the stability of JotForm forms.

I spent the better part of a day constructing a form, only to have all the fields, except for 7, "disappear".

The fields are plainly visable when you go to EMAIL ALERTS and select either of the two Alerts, but there are over 80 (EIGHTY) MISSING FIELDS, along with their associated drop boxes, and check boxes, that are MISSING from my form!

    How is this possible?

How can I get back my form?

I'm terrified that I'll spend another 8 hours constructing this form, only to have the fields "disappear" again!

What's going on? Can you retreive my work?

    My form URL is: http://www.jotform.com/form/20483249445

Form Name is Property Listing Information Form.

The attached screen shot shows just the few "missing" fields from the email composer.

    Please help!

    John

    John,

I feel truly sorry for any inconvenience caused by this issue to you. We had a problem with our CDN servers for EU users. However, that does not seem to be the reason for your problem, as you are located in the United States.

I am thinking that the browser you're using might be the culprit. Sometimes, in a worst case scenario, some browsers (IE in particular), fail to save changes made to documents being edited in a web application (such as JotForm). Perhaps your browser needs some cleaning up to do.

Try clearing the cache and see if it helps. If possible though, ditch IE and use a more modern browser such as Firefox or Chrome (just my personal opinion).

As for retrieving the "changes" you have made to your form, I regret to tell you that that can't be made possible. We don't do form restorations anymore, and even if we do, there would be nothing to restore as the "changes" were not saved to our servers.

This is not a solution for your current problem but in the future, you can use Clone feature to make backups of your form time to time. To clone a form, right click on it on the My Forms page.
