How can I make my form reactive depending on the user?

I'm currently having artists fill in a feature section with your wonderful system and I'm wondering how I can make the form reactive depending if the user is a new or a past member.

So in basics a drop down or check box could be used to first indicate new or old members. Once the user has made the action the rest of the form should appear and be suited to the user (different questions between the two users).

We've had complains (resulting in double submissions) from users that say they've experienced errors with characters. Two have said when ever they've used an apostrophe it turned unto a hash, making them feel they had made a mistake.

Also I'm curious how I can adjust the email template that I'm sent as the space or lines always make half the senescence turn into breaks and I'm left editing it back into the correct format.

You seem to be looking to conditionally show some fields based on previous field entry/selection. This is possible, please check this guide:

    https://www.jotform.com/help/316-How-to-show-or-hide-a-field-in-the-form-based-on-the-other-field-input-or-selection

As for the two other issues, I have moved them into a new thread. Please find the links below:

It seems this could not be the best method to collect and store our features data?

Unless it is possible to have two different email templates depending on the user questions?

Basically we have New and Old users and they have two different fields to fill out, which would result in two different submissions with unique templates...

Would you suggest making a separate form and linking the two? If so how do you make this possible?

In most cases like this many of our users tend to use more than one form for this type of workflow.

But, it is also possible to have more than one email notification or you could even change it with conditional logic.

With the first scenario one would be for new members and the other would be for old members and you could even have another to update if needed.

It would sort of work similar to https://www.jotform.com/help/182-How-to-Create-a-Basic-Multiple-Payment-form but with forms only unless you plan to collect any sort of payment too.

If you wish to get fancy with it you could even have one form prepopulate another and it's possible for your users to be allowed to edit and update their forms if you want to allow them to do that.

    Thanks Kade, mate

do you know if it's possible to link a form from a button? Without having to link from the thank you page?

    You are welcome.

As for your follow-up question that's another topic that I have moved to this new thread.
