Prepopulate field in JotForm (different content per user).

    Dear Team,

In order to assign the submission results of our surveys to specific users, we plan to add a "sender ID"-field in the survey. To avoid that users mis-type that ID when entering it in the form, we were hoping that it's possible to have this field pre-filled.

According to Google it's possible to pre-populate fields in JotForm. However, as we anticipate to have up to 2000 submissions, it would be too time-consuming to pre-populate that one field for each user.

Therefore I'm wondering if there is any automated way to fill in one specific information in one field of the survey per user.

Many thanks for your feedback in advance.

    Kind regards,

    Barbara

It is indeed possible to pre-populate fields in jotform using URL parameters. Unfortunately, there is no automated way of doing this. You will need to manually enter the "sender ID" per user, then send the link with the URL parameter to their email. However, one way to speed things up would be to use the prepopulate app here: http://prepopulate.jotform.io/. This app will automatically generate the URL parameters for your form for each sender id.
