How to append data to existing submissions?

    I have more than 140+ offline submissions that I wish to append into JotForm inbox. Is there a way to do that and at the same time merge or amend duplicate IDs?

    Hello sjck,

    If I understand your question correctly, you want to import existing offline data in your form's submission page. Is that correct?

    Yes is it possible to achieve your requirement by taking advantage of our "Import Data" app. This app will allow you to import data in form's submission page if your offline submission data is in excel or csv file.

    will it overwrite existing submissions? will there be duplicate submissions? I don't seem to be able to specify the unique ID to upload, i'm afraid that it will mess up all the data.

    The app won't overwrite existing submissions as far as I know and yes, possible duplicates will be created as well. 

    You may also consider duplicating your current form and import the offline data into the duplicate so the original will stay as it is

    Hi ashwin_d I'm still not able to append the unique ID which are all assigned to the offline data using your method. I do see a {unassigned} column but seems like a redundant field.

    After I tried appending a sample line of data, the system created 9 blank entries and my entry date was reset to -0001-11-30 00:00:00 which is totally weird.

    Seems like there's a bug with the plugin.

    Would it be possible for you to  send us the file that you are importing? We need to test the import tool again using the actual file if possible. That would help us gather more info before submitting a bug ticket to our developers.
