Form Emails: Do not show hidden fields on email notifications and auto-responders.

Well, in my mind it would make sense that if I have something hidden on a form that I might also not want that to show on the auto-responder... or at least the option to not have it shown on the auto-responder.

That said, I think that the manual exclusion of that item on the auto-response email is a simple enough solution, so long as the ability to edit the email is retained in the future (maybe as an "Advanced" mode instead of having to append the form URL with "?old").

I need to confirm whether you are requesting the option to control empty fields individually in autoresponder or notifier. Or if you mean to add the hide empty fields option in both autoresponder and notifier instead of just one single option in the preferences.

I look forward to your reply.

    Hi Welvin,

Actually, I suppose I am requesting both.

#1. Right now you can still edit the the autoresponder and notifier emails using "?old" - I think it's important to keep that function, but it would be nice if it was more obvious (like with an Advanced option).

#2. I also think it would be helpful to have a preference option to not send hidden fields (which I personally think should be disabled by default).

If I have to pick one, though, it would be #1 above.

I'm not sure if I understood completely this part, currently both, email notifications and auto-responders can be edited, could you please provide us more details about it.

This has been escalated to our second level as a feature request now, please do note that this may take some time to be available; however, we will let you know if/when this comes available.

Also, please provide us more details about the first point, if this is something that was available on the old UI and it's missing on the new UI we will need to find why it was removed, with more details we will be able to properly assist you with that.

We will wait for your response.

    Hi Kevin,

I may be mistaken about the ability to edit notifications and auto-responders in both the new and old style.  Since I have starting using the "?old" I no longer have access to the new layout to check this.  This is actually fine with me, though.  Sorry for any confusion.

You can access the new layout by clicking the link below:

And, you will see the new version of email wizard. If you have any question or issues, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will be glad to assist you.

Let me apologize for the wrong answers given by two our support representatives. I also want to clarify how empty/hidden fields work nowadays:

    1. By default, any field that contains a value( inputted,  passed through conditions or set through default value properties) will be shown in the email notifications, empty fields won't.

This means that hidden fields will not be shown by default. Unless it comes with a value that is triggered by a condition or so.

Now, If you do not want an specific field to show, simply go into the notifications edit mode, and manually delete the row where the field's variable is located.

    2. There is no need to use the test link, to get back to the new wizard, which is the one by default, simply clear your browser cache. That way you can keep testing.
