Configuration List Widget | How to pre-populate form row dataAsked by derickdavis on July 26, 2016 at 04:07 PM
I'm using the Configuration List Widget and would like to know if it's possible to pre-populate some initial rows of data on the form?
Our users will be using this on mobile platforms mostly (if that makes a difference). They may run into a situation where the Configuration List should have 3 items already listed and pre-populated allowing them to perhaps only change the quantity. Essentially creating a template, but using the Configuration List control.
Unfortunately widgets cannot be pre-populated, this is because they do not work in the same way as the normal fields (Name, Address, Email, Text Box).
If you would like to pre-populate some options in your form then you will need to use the Basic Fields:
This way you will be able to set pre-populated data, you also are able to show or hide fields using conditions, here is a guide that will help you with that: How-to-Show-or-Hide-Fields-Base-on-User-s-Answer
Here is also an app that will help you to pre-populate your form: http://prepopulate.jotform.io/
But using the Configurable List widget or any other would not be possible to achieve.
