    disable mailchimp's opt-in email

    hi

    i migrate from another form builder to jotform and tune web forms for user subscription.

    how can i disable email from mailchimp about user subscription to my lists?

     

    in the other form builder there is special button for it (see screenshot)

    Sorry but such option is not available in the MailChimp integration wizard of JotForm. Nevertheless I have added this to our feature request list for our developers to consider.

    For now to disable this you can login to your MailChimp account and change it in the List settings. Please visit the following page of MailChimp for the instructions on how to do this:

    what i need to change in list defaults?

    "Send an email notification of subscribes to" ?

    this does not solve problem.

    I believe we already do tell mailchimp API to not send this email. Did you try it?

    Yes. I tried about 5 times with different forms. Mailchimp sends me email "your email subscribed to ....... List". Every time I try.

    This is a part of MailChimp final welcome email, and I think that you can not disable it via MailChimp interface.

    Our Developers will take a look into, and let you know once it is fixed.

    Please  have in mind that even though this feature is important, our development team keeps busy taking care of tickets with a higher priority, however, I have sent a note to 2nd level so we can get updates about this implementation.

    It is very important to improve the Mailchimp Connection, because otherwise it has absolutely NO benefit. To "add a confirmation email" is not the confirmation of being listed. It means "You get an email to confirm your adress". This double opt in process is the one and only way to generate a list compliantly.

    Could you tell me what is the solution? 

     

    Thank you page is enough and I am only collectin' emails at the moment via mail chimp.

    at first look there is ready solutions via other forms (wufoo) and crm's forms

    @Svobo and @Vsavonkin,

    Please note that we have an option to disable the Double Opt-In email. You will need to uncheck the 'Send Opt-In Email' option.

    However, please have in mind that according to Mailchimp - "Abusing this may cause your account to be suspended."

    Dera Mike,

    The mail users get is not opt-in e-mail it is a subscription confirmation email or a Final “Welcome” as mailchimp says.  It is enabled even when opt-in option is unchecked. I think there is something wrong with the API. Even when I disable this email option in mailchimp system still sends it.

    Hi Svobo,

    Please correct me if I'm wrong. What you want is to turn off email from mailchimp about unsubscription or welcome email? If so, check your mailchimp form settings by going to List > Settings > List Name and Defaults > uncheck the box under the Send A Final Welcome Email? heading.

    at first - list settings in mailchimp

    all red settings - unchecked

    at second - settings "send opt-in email" in jotform's to mailchimp integration unchecked too

     

    but there in emails from mailchimp with

    @vsanvonkin,

    This thread is getting crowded and way to old, can you please create another thread so we can start there again?

    I have my Mailchimp integration, I tested the form and so far I haven't received any confirmation email from Mailchimp so this could be under some settings and how it is being integrated. Here's my form by the way: http://form.jotformpro.com/form/30353152454951.
