Form views unexpectedly high.

My form views growed from several hunderds to thousands views overnight. I even had to upgrade my acount from Bronze to Silver in order to not to get suspended. Can you please explain how this could happen?

We have recalculated form views that your forms received, and even after what seemed to have been bots is removed from the total form view count, I see your remaining form views are still well over the 10.000 limit for the Bronze plan.

It is likely that this form has been embedded on a page where you are receiving plenty of traffic. As this form doesn't have any submissions on it yet, and if you were not intending to collect information, you can disable the form so that it is not being loaded so many times by your visitors:

Other than that, you may want to remove the form from any frequently accessed page on your website, and place it on a dedicated page which is only accessed by your customers who need to fill out this particular form.

Then we have found a big problem with the form view counter... The pop up page is where the jotform is located has opened only 99 times and not 13,324 times!

The Jotform Form View Counter counts how many times the page has been showed not how many times the form is viewed.

Please note that the pop-up is still embedded and is part of the page, and so even if it is not opened yet, the pop-up with the embedded form will still be loaded by your browser. Because of this, loading the page will still count as a form view. You can find out more about the form views here: Form View Limits: What is it all about?

One way to make sure that the form view will only be counted when the pop-up is opened, is to use a non-modal pop-up instead. With this method, you will only have a link on your page that when clicked, will open the form in a non-modal pop-up window. This means that even if your page is loaded, the form will not be loaded because it is not embedded in the page. The form will only be loaded once the non-modal pop-up page is opened though the link.

You can use the code provided by jotform to use the non-modal popup.
