    Request to change username

    Hello, 

     

    Could you please change my username from SimonRDEE to RDEECanada ?

    Hi,

    Please note that when you are requesting to change a username, the request should come directly form the account owner itself. This means, if you want to change the username of SimonRDEE, you need to log in to that account and reply here.

    Now I checked the username RDEECanada, and it is available to use. However, please note that once you change your username, the custom URL on your forms will no longer work. This is because the custom URL previously used is dependent on the account username. You need to recreate the custom URL after changing your username. To learn more about custom URL feature, please check this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/261-How-to-Create-a-Custom-URL-of-a-Form 

    Here's an example of that I meant:

    This is my custom URL: https://www.jotform.com/Charlie/TestCustomURL1 

    This is the default URL of my form: https://form.jotform.com/61102494022947 

     

    In my custom URL, you can see my username "Charlie". Now if I change my username, then that custom URL will no longer be valid. However, the default URL won't be affected because changing usernames won't affect the form ID. If you are not using custom URL feature, then no need to worry on this.

    Let us know if you would like to proceed on the username change, make sure to login to the account for us to confirm this change.
