    How can I get "Conditions" to work right?

    Asked by squeakycleanhouse on April 07, 2012 at 12:33 AM

    First, I tried to tie an answer using the Conditions to another form based on specific response but the set box does not allow me to pick the form to route them to.  It doesn't work for any of the fields actually.

    Second, I tried to just add a field to the current form that would show up when a certain item is selected (using conditions).  But can't figure out how you hide a field by default and then show it after a certain selection.

    Any ideas?  Image attached is for the first one above.

    I would be happy just figuring out either option above.....

    Thanks for contacting us, i will try to assist you as much as possible. You need to be able to hide some fileds depending on choosed/response given? if this is so, then try the examples given below;

    Have a look at the following form: https://www.jotform.com/form/12275544283

    If Option 2 is chosen in the radio button field, three fields ("Text Area", "File Upload" and "Submit Form") are hidden. Three Show/Hide conditions were setup for the for the radio button field to achieve this. For a detailed view of how this was done, clone the form and view its saved conditions: Setup & Embed tab > Conditions > Saved Conditions > click the edit button on each condition

    You can also view the links below for more guides;

    Hope this information will be of help, please lets know if you need further assistance and we will be ready to support you.

    Well, I am wanting to do just the opposite.  Not show some fields on the form by default.  But then if they check a certian option, it will then show the fields.

    Do those fields need to be hidden?  I tried to make them hidden but I didn't show them when that option was choosen.

    For example - If they pick they want to pay w/ a credit card verus check, I want to populate the cc info fields on the same form.
