Are we allowed to collect bank account details using encrypted forms?

Are we allowed to collect bank account details using encrypted forms? I mean IBAN and/or BIC/SWIFT codes, not credit card details. The terms of service don't say.

Even though collecting bank account information is not illegal, it is still sensitive information. As indicated in a previous thread answered by our support team. We do allow to collect this information.

As indicated, we ask proof of the type of business you have. This is to make sure that all the information provided is save and not use for other purposes.

Thanks. We are not in the finance industry so it looks like we would not be allowed to do it.

That's ironic because a) we want to collect the info in order to pay into the accounts, not take money from them and b) getting it via an encrypted form would probably be more secure than asking the user to email it :-(

I'm truly sorry for the inconvenience. As you can see this is more of a security reason. If you require this and would like to use Jotform, I would not lose all hope yet.

I would recommend you sending us more information about your company and how you would like to use the form to our support@jotform.com email. Please include all the information possible. We will forward it to our higher ups and see if it can be approved.

Normally the financial industry is the one creating this types of forms. We also know that this is not the only industry collecting the information. That is why I would not lose hope. I you can send us the information of your company we will see what we can do.
