Why were credit card fields removed from my form

    I am definitely not happy with your service. I thought I could use you to help me with my registrations and instead, I have tripled the time I have to spend on this.

    I will actually have to enlist an employees time to get this to work properly.

    Do you have customer service so that I can talk to someone?

    We are so sorry for the situation you experienced. However, we would like you to know that we are always ready to assist you for any issue you have.

    When I checked your profile, I saw that you have only one form and it's about activity registration, not enlist an employee time. If you provide us more details about what the problem is exactly, we would be glad to help you to solve it.

    In addition to that, asking credit card information directly without using any payment tool violates our terms of use. That's why, I deleted following fields from your form.

    You have completely jeopardized my registration by removing not only the credit card informatioin but also the addresses of my participants.

    I am seriously in trouble. Can someone help me??

    Thank you for your reply.
    Do not remove the information in my form… I will call them all but the fact that I have some information protects us…
    I am completely stuck with this until this registration is over… if you change my form, I am seriously in trouble…
    I have to enlist an employee to call back all the registrants to get the proper information for their activities (as your report does not separate the activities in the field) and to get their credit card number completely.
    I am definitely not happy … totally not happy… but right now, I am stuck finishing my registration through your product.
    I will have to see what I do in the future but right now… even if I am totally messed up with the results, I have to live with them.
    The fact that I cannot talk to anyone just adds to my frustration. Is there any way I can talk to someone to see how I can facilitate my work? -

    I understand your frustration, however, as per our terms of use, we expressly state that we do not allow for the collection of credit card details directly through forms:

    https://www.jotform.com/help/8-Terms-of-Use

    Collecting Sensitive Information. You may not use the JotForm to collect certain types of sensitive information, including but not limited to credit card information and any type of login credentials. You may collect some sensitive information such as social security numbers or driver’s license numbers, but you are required to use best security practices of JotForm including SSL and Encrypted Forms features. You are solely responsible for compliance with any data protection and privacy laws and rules applicable to the sensitive information.

    This has been our policy for quite some time.  Collecting such information usually results in the account being suspended completely.

    We do allow for payment authorization through one of our many payment processors:

    If you have any further questions regarding this, we will be happy to clarify whatever you'd like.

    As I mentioned earlier in a private exchange, there are two issues with this:

    1) your system allows the publishing of a form on which credit card information is requested without using a payment system;

    2) if payment cannot be taken immediately at registration as there are certain conditions that have to be fulfilled - in this case, a minimum of X participants for an activity to be confirmed - then how are we to gather the information required without having to recommunicate with everybody.

    How do we propose we go around that?

    1) your system allows the publishing of a form on which credit card information is requested without using a payment system;

    We cannot catch every form.  Our terms of use forbids collecting of such data.  You agreed to our terms of use when signing up for an account.

    2) if payment cannot be taken immediately at registration as there are certain conditions that have to be fulfilled - in this case, a minimum of X participants for an activity to be confirmed - then how are we to gather the information required without having to recommunicate with everybody.

    You set up payment authorization through one of our payment processors and collect the data in a similar manner.  You process the payments, through the payment processor, that were authorized once your conditions are met.
