Decrypting data stored on Google Sheet.

Hi. I'm using encrypted forms and storing the output on a Google Sheet.

The data on that sheet is encrypted and each entry appears as a long string of random letters and numbers (as it should be). Is there a way to unencrypt that data directly within the Google Sheet?

I have my private key and am able to view the raw submission output in my Submission sheet.

Would I need to go into my Submission sheet and export the data each time?

Unfortunately it is not possible to decrypt the submission data stored on your google sheet. It is also not possible to export the encrypted data to Excel, CSV, or any other server-generated submission files and reports.

This is because the encryption feature was designed to protect your privacy and security, which means that your private key is never sent to our servers. Your submissions can only be decrypted if you use your private key to view it in your Submissions page while on your browser.

Some of the features that are not available for Encrypted Forms* are:

1. PDF Downloads,

2. Reports (this includes downloading Excel and CSV files from within Submission Panel),

3. Emails that contain form data in them.

* All server side gathered and processed data can only be retrieved in encrypted form because your private key is never sent to our servers.

If you want to export the data to your google sheets or excel file, then you will need to disable the encryption on your form.
