    JotForm SSL

Asked by Chana  on August 17, 2016 at 08:27 PM

    Hi -

I was visiting a website and started to fill out the webform when I realized it was unencrypted - and it is a JotForm. The URL is http://form.jotform.us/form/40668623822155, off the "Apply" link from www.hightouchlending.com. When I called this to the website owner's attention, he said "oh, all of JotForm's forms are SSL protected." His obviously isn't. Please see screenshot.

I might be more sensitive to this than most because I am a cybersecurity/security architect. But, he is collecting REALLY sensitive information through this form, thinking it is secure. It is ripe for identity theft or worse.

    Thanks,

    Chana

I am able to see the website www.hightouchlending.com is not on SSL.

If you embed an SSL form (this is our standard option at this time) it will be secured, the from will be protected from potential manipulations and decryption. It will work even if you embed it to the Non-SSL web page.

I would suggest you to use HTTPS based secure URL of the form, that is try to use below URL of the Form:
