I just viewed the question from the car dealer which was helpful, seeing how we are both using this for credit applications.
so i want to embed a secure form on our website using the iframe. when doing so ive replaced the form link to https://jotform.com/ instead of http:// and it works fine with the https..ive inspected the element in chrome and it says it is secure with an SSL. our site will not have an ssl, is this still secure? Like someone else said on here i do not want to confuse our users by going to a new page.
if im using the lightbox feature on the homepage of our webpage and im using the https, will this be secure as well?
More our less do our users need to go to your page directly our will it being embeded be secure enough. we will be taking our users SSN# so the data is sensitive.
if my users do need to go to your site can i just use the popup version as that will have your domain in it just displayed in a new window?

Yes, lightbox will be secure. The lightbox will open the form in a iframe with secure URL. So, the data will be submitted over secure server.
