i'm using the calculate fields feature and would like a $ to appear in the total

how do you do that? i just see the total amount, but not with a $ in front of it.

Hey Pam, since you never mentioned which form you're working on, I'll just assume you're referring to the UPDATE/CALCULATE FIELD option for CONDITIONS.

If you wish to have a dollar sign prior to the calculated result, just type in the $ sign then press TAB on your keyboard before the computation. Here's a quick example showing a simple addition:
