Apologies for any inconvenience. However, email autoresponders are really not being sent to respondents when they submit the form because it is also encrypted and there is no way to encrypt the data without the encryption key.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us anytime. Thank you.

I really would like to send the user an email notifying them of their donation. Can you suggest a workaround. I heard stripe requires you to have an encrypted form to take credit cards.

Unfortunately, there is no workaround for this at this moment since the emails can be triggered only when after storing the data in the database. Since the form encryption is enabled on your JotForm, the data will be stored with encryption in the database. It is required to supply the form encryption key in order to view the encrypted key which is private and can be used only by you.

For receiving Stripe payments through JotForm, it is not required to enable Form encryption. The Stripe integration on your JotForm is done in a secure way using the documentation provided by Stripe. Also, when the form is being accessed using https, the data submitted through the form is transferred encrypted. If this is only the case if you have enabled Form encryption on your JotForm, you may disable the form encryption for your JotForm so that the auto-responders shall be sent normally.

    Hope this information helps!
