    Hello,

We have a contractor that is going to be modifying the forms on a regular basis, I do not want them to have access to the form data.

    3 things that might help..

1 - They have their own jotform account, can I just give them access to the form but not the data??

2 - I can upgrade the account and create them a user and share the form but not the data... This might be the same exact thing as option 2

3 - We are going to be setting it up so all of the form data gets posted to an outside MySql database. Is there an option to delete the data once it gets posted?? or a time frame? or not even stay in the account?? This should be the last resort in case we ever have a problem with our DB it would be nice to know the data is somewhere

Or if you have a better solution to accomplish the same thing

    Thank you

    Hello connectpoint,

You can restrict your sub-users to just view submissions, just edit the form, or do both.

To do this, simply go to My Account > Users or visit this for the quick link https://www.jotform.com/myaccount/users and then tick the checkbox to what you want your sub-user can do

You can also learn more regarding sub users from this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/232-How-to-share-forms-with-a-sub-account-user

There is no need to upgrade unless you want to have more sub users on your account. A free account is allowed to have one sub user, but if you need more than one, you will need to upgrade your account. You can refer to this pricing page for more information: https://www.jotform.com/pricing

You can also make use of the auto-delete app which is readily available in JotForm apps. It's likewise free to use. You can get this app from this link: https://apps.jotform.com/app/auto_delete_submissions. But please take note that once the submission gets deleted, it cannot be retrieved. So you can probably just set the limit to prevent your sub users from being able to view the submissions page.

Let me know if you have further questions.

    Thanks.
