Are forms requiring online connection or can they work offline?

is this all browser based or will it run offline on a mobile device ?

I presume Ian that you are asking if the forms can be opened on a mobile device when there is no internet connection available?

If that is true, then yes and no would be the correct answer and this is why.

The online forms are only available if you have internet connection. So you must have a connection when opening a form and when submitting the same. In the process of filling out the form, you could be offline as well (depending on what your form fields and widgets do).

Now you could still have the form filled out and saved while there is no connection at all by using the PDF form instead of the online one.

That will allow you to share the PDF in any form most suitable for you, have people fill them out and transfer the form back to you (or submit them online from the PDF).

This is why the answer is yes and no, however depending on your usage you might prefer one or the other. In general, online forms offer you more customization, better control and better experience while PDF forms are limited with the same.
