Form Translatation: Ability to import translated words from a file.

It would be great if whoever created the Countries subfield in the Address field provided all the translations at least in the top 20 languages. I have had to enter country names in French, Spanish and a few other languages and it seems silly that you would require every user to do that.

If you cannot provide the Countries translated, could you provide a CSV import to simplify the updating of country names in the various translations? Or provide some way that is more efficient than the current approach?

I assume you were referring to the process as described on our user guide:

    How-to-translate-your-forms-to-different-languages

Currently this is the only method available to translate the form to multiple languages.

I understand what you were suggesting of using a more simplified tool i.e. clicking a dropdown option and it will automate the translation of all. However it is not how it is at this time.

But do you know that there is also option in the language tool that will allow the form to auto detect the language the end-user was using?

You can see it in the Detect Language option.

If the end-user was using a different language on their browser other than English (which usuallly is the case since user's would always want to use their own language), the language tool of the form will be able to detect this and will auto translate the language of the form as well.

Hope this help. Let us know if there is more we can assist you with.

The above reply did not address my questions at all.

    Let me try again:

It would be great if whoever created the Countries subfield in the Address field provided all the translations at least in the top 20 languages. I have had to enter country names in French, Spanish and a few other languages and it seems silly that you would require every user to do that. This seems to be a pretty simple question. Can you forward this to whoever developed the Country subfield?

Or provide some way that is more efficient than the current approach?  This also seems to be a pretty simple question. Can you forward this to whoever developed the Country subfield? I can imagine a variety of ways you could make life easier for people trying to translate forms. I appreciate the fact that you attempt to address multilingual issues. By the way, the Right-to-Left languages could be implemented a bit better but it is tolerable as it is. Thanks.

I understand that you would like to simplify the process to translate your form, for example, you're currently referring to the Country field in the Address section.

As I can see you've translated each country to the different languages:

Form Translatation: Ability to import translated words from a file Screenshot 30

Please also do note that when you use the translate option, it automatically translates some words:

I understand that you would like to import translated words from a file such as CSV, as you've already noticed this is not available at the moment, but I will forward this thread to our second level as a feature request.

Please do note that feature requests may take some time to be available, this is also based on the number of users requesting the same feature.

However, if this feature comes available  we will make sure to let you know as soon as possible via this thread.

Thanks. I think many users do not realize they
can make feature requests. The best would be if Jotform simply
hired someone to complete the translation for the 20 most common
languages. The way it is now everyone has to do the same thing
and that does not make much sense.
