Responses come through with weird characters in place of certain punctuation

Instead of hyphens and quotation marks, the form has different numbers/characters.  Can you tell me what is causing this or how to fix?

Hostess was a Caucasian female approximately 5'.  with blonde hair pulled back in a pony tail. She appeared to be about 18 years old. She was wearing a blue T-shirt with cream colored short shorts.  "SROOM" logo on the back of the shirt in white lettering.
