When we hit submit we get an error message from google saying there is a certificate error and our connection is not private. However when we go directly to our website it works fine. Is JotForm not reading our certificate correctly? How can we fix this?

Are you still having troubles with your custom Thank You page?
If so, please check the page where you're redirecting to form to, it should be loading fine and also check that you've set up the correct link in the Thank You wizard.
