Hi, we have a new starter information form which we send out to new employees before they start work with us, and there is a section for 'Office use only' which we complete after they have submitted their own info. This contains contract details and info such as their username for the IT system etc.
We have a notification email set up to go to the HR department when the employee first completes their form. It then sends the email again when we have completed the 'office use only' section, and again if we make any other edits. These secondary emails are usually not necessary, and I'd like to turn them off, as you can with the autoresponders, but I can't seem to find an option in the Advanced settings. Is this possible, please?
Emails on edit stop stop notification
Unfortunately, the email notifiers were designed to send notifications whenever the submission is updated.
However, you can try this suggestion:
1. First, instead of using the notification email for your HR, use an autoresponder instead.
Now we know that by default, autoresponder emails will not be sent again if the submission is edited.
2. With regards to the target recipient, there are two approach that you can use.
Option #1: You can set a hidden e-mail address field where you will set its default value to your HR email address.
Option #2: Is to use conditional logic to trigger the autoresponder and to set it's target recipient. In my case, I'll use one of the fields that will surely be filled out which is the first name field. When it is filled out, the autoresponder email will be sent to the specific address I set.

Now using any of those and assuming that the "Send on Edit" is disabled, then an email for your HR won't be sent again when submission is being edited.
