How to add calculation values for "Other" options?

How can I make sure a user-specified value in an "Other" option is outputted?

I am not sure if I have understood your question correctly. Do you mean to say that you want to assign calculation value for radio button or checkbox other options as well?

Yes it is possible to achieve your requirement by adding one additional value in "Calculation values". Say if you have 3 options in your radio button question, you should add 1 more i.e 4 values in "Calculation Values". Please check the screenshot below:
