    Language Picker Widget: Default value triggers required validation

    I set up three language options. The first defaults to English. The other two do not have defaults. When I enter data into the first language field, it does not seem to accept the English default and requires that I change it. How do I fix this?

    Seems I can only upload one image with this message. Should allow more.

    The two textarea fields shown in your screenshot is working fine. It does not ask trigger error validation when they are filled even when you changed the language.

    Or perhaps you're referring to the language pickers widget?

    I was able to reproduce this problem so I will escalate this to our developers for a resolution. For now, I suggest using a regular dropdown field.

    the language picker widget --- that was not obvious?
    Your suggestion is that I used the dropdown basic
    field? I have 23 forms now with three language-picker fields on
    each form. Suggesting I create a new language picker using the
    dropdown basic field is a non-starter. What is a projected date
    and time to get the language picker widget to work correctly?
    I believe I have fixed languages #2 and #3 by not
    setting a default. At least, they seemed to work correctly. Do
    you agree that this is a reasonable work-around until the
    default language option can be made to work correctly?

    I'm sorry, but we cannot give you a projected timeframe for the ticket but rest assured that our developers will check and fix this problem with the widget. 

    Another solution instead of using the default dropdown is to hide the default language or make the widget as not required.

    We've fixed the language picker. 

    If a default language is used, you won't be required to pick another value (or re-pick the default value). 

    Please check and let us know.
