How to allow users to edit their own submissions?

Asked by drkirkwilson on August 31, 2016 at 08:57 PM

I thought I needed to create autoresponders in order to enable the user to access a link that would let them re-edit and update the data they submitted with a form. Turns out the confirmation email includes the following which provides that capability automatically:

So it appears I can delete all the autoresponders, right? I want users to be able to go back and update the data they have submitted with a form and the above which displays at the end of a confirmation email seems to do that.

How do I get this above string to display in each of my 22 current target languages? Where do I edit it?

    Hello drkirkwilson,

If I understand your requirement correctly, you want to allow your users to edit their submission data. Yes it is possible to achieve your requirement by taking advantage of our "Edit_link" feature.

You may like to take a look at the following guide which should help you achieve this:  https://www.jotform.com/help/40-How-to-Let-Users-Update-Their-Form-Submissions-at-a-Later-Date

    Hope this helps.

Do get back to us if you have any questions.

    Thank you!

I have 23 autoresponders. All of them had the
edit link feature already in the form but in UPPER CASE, so I
went to the trouble to add the Edit Link to every form so it
displays in "lower case". I assume you did not look at any of my
forms before you sent the message below.
