Viewing Encrypted Form Submission from email link has missing minutes when viewing Time fields

Asked by williamsmobility on September 05, 2016 at 01:35 AM

When I receive a submission, only Hour and AM/PM is shown.  The entry for the Minutes field is missing.  Please help!

Follow up:  I can see the minutes field when viewing Submissions in my JotForm account. But when I receive an email with the link to view the response (my form is encrypted), the page it takes me to does not show the minutes (see screen shot above).

    Hello williamsmobility,

I did check your form and did not find any issue with that. It seems you have solved this problem already. I also tested your form and the time field did capture the submission data. I could not verify the submission email which was sent because you seems to have encrypted your form and submission email of encrypted form will not display any readable data.

I would suggest you to please disable "Encryption" of your form and then test your form again. Do get back to us if the issue persists. Please check the screenshot below how to disable encryption of your form:

    Thank you!

Thank you for the prompt reply.  The full time is captured and viewable by going to JotForm and clicking on my submissions, which is the workaround I am using.  However, the minutes field is not displayed when I click on the link in the submission email (see lower screen shot that I posted above).  My form needs to be encrypted, and the email link to view the encrypted response opens up in my browser and shows every field EXCEPT minutes.  Clicking on the email link is a much more efficient way to view responses, and it doesn't make sense to me that just that one field is missing. Thanks for any help you can provide :)

Thank you kindly for the clarification about this issue.

After further testing I found I am able to replicate the problem and it seems that this is caused by some interference when a form has been encrypted since it doesn't occur on non-encrypted forms.

Basically, what I'm noticing is that the minutes are left out completely after clicking on the view encrypted form submission button via email but if you compare it with submission viewer you'll see it's not a problem there.

I'm sending a bug report about this to our developers so that we can get this resolved as soon as possible and thank you very much for reporting this problem to us.
