For a merchandising report I'd like to ask my employees to add 36 pictures in 1 form.
As the amount of MB's will go through the roof it won't be very practical.
Also the form I will receive will be at least 70MB per time.
Is there a practical solution to either downsize the image size of photo's or to zip / file the pictures in a form?

You can allow your file upload field to accept multiple uploads in that certain field
Note: you can also increase the max file size upload per file set on your field.
Also, in concerning a way to downsize the image upon upload, there is no available tool for that, likewise there is no option to compress the files uploaded to a zip file. So if you wish for your file attachment to be zipped, I recommend that you ask your form users to zip the file first before making an upload.
