Zoho: Pass the full URL of the uploaded file not only its file nameAsked by asiaexchange on September 07, 2016 at 03:52 AM
I would like to know if it's possible to transfer a link to an attachment file from Jotform to Zoho CRM. In other words, when somebody attaches a file to the form, the link to the file would be visible within the Zoho CRM record and could be accessed from there. I have tested this and doesn't seem to work because the even if the file link can be made visible within Zoho CRM, it doesn't lead to a valid file location on the internet. When I click on the file in the Submissions sheet in Jotform, the file is however accessible on the Jotform domain. The question is whether it's possible to link to this file location on the Jotform domain from within Zoho CRM directly by means of an integration?
Unfortunately, I'm not sure you can do that, only what will pass is the name of the file. On the other hand please try adding custom field URL. To do that go to Setup - Customize and then choose the integration, Contact, Lead etc.:
Then try adding URL field and do the integration:
Unfortunately, I'm not able to test it since I'm on Free Zoho Account, so I'm not able to add custom fields.
Please try and then integrate with your upload file and see how it works for you.
We'll wait for your response.
that was already my setup and unfortunately it doesn't work this way either. Is there any way to transfer attachments from Jotform to Zoho?
I was able to reproduce this.
Currently, only the file name is forwarded to Zoho not its full URL.
I have raised this as a feature request so it will be considered in the future. Once this is implemented, we will let you know via this thread.
