I'm using the embed feature in wordpress, and my thank you page redirects to an external link. I'm trying to find where I could add a "target=_blank", but can't seem to find that piece of the code.

It is possible to open the thank you page in a new tab, however, it required embedding your form using the full source code. The following thread describes how to do so:
Certain platforms do not allow for embedding using the full source code. If yours does not, opening the thank you page in a new tab will not be possible.

Hi David, I followed the steps in that thread, though when I use the source code in WordPress I lose a lot of formatting and functionality that was there when using embed. Is there any way I can make it work?

Using the source code for your form leaves it open to interactions with your page. It will inherit and formatting and any scripts running in your page will also affect your form. If using the source code does not work in your page, unfortunately, it will not be possible to open the thank you page in a new tab.
