Merging answers from multiple forms to final PDF for customers

    ISSUE

I have looked and looked and not found the answer yet. Found similar things that help as far as a report goes for me.  But I need a "receipt" (the pdf) for my customers to have all the data they submitted via both forms.

I have a form that was extremely LONG... so to make it seem not so long, I split it into 2 forms.

1st form has the basic questions (name, address, phone etc.)

2nd form has the items that the customers would like to purchase from me (the shopping cart basically).

I have page 1's "Thank you" page going to the next form (2nd form) as an external link, so it seems like a 2 page questionnaire form.  However doing that doesn't transfer the question/answers from page 1 to the final PDF form that is sent to my customers, only the answers they submitted on page 2.

    REQUEST

I would like for the final PDF file to generate the answers from both forms when completed.    Can that be done?    I looked into the conditions, but seems to only work within the same form & I don't see how I can request it to read for a different form.

Hope that makes sense.   Thank you

I get what you're trying to achieve but sadly, there's no innate way (nor a workaround) to do that. We have an app for combining submissions https://apps.jotform.com/app/combine_submissions but this app generates a CSV file and not a PDF.

The only way that I can think of is to combine your 2 forms into 1. Since you never mentioned the forms you're currently working on, I'll just assume they are the following:

    Part 1 http://www.jotform.us/form/62498210790156

    Part 2 http://www.jotform.us/form/62468501370150

    Your general workflow is to:

    1. Combine them into 1 form

    2. Use Page Breaks and the Form Tabs widget to break them down into 2 pages but still within a single form

    3. I would also recommend you enable the Autofill feature of your form to lessen the frustration of filling out your form (e.g. if a user accidentally closed the page, they won't have to re-type everything)

Please give it a whirl and if you stumble upon any issue while setting this up, let us know so we can assist you.

For the time being, I have raised this as a feature request. We can't promise the feasibility of this being implemented but you will get updates via this thread if/when we have news from our Development Team.
