Looks like using this approach I'd have to create a "tell a friend" for

Looks like using this approach I'd have to create a "tell a friend" form for each event or promotion. Is there any "tell a friend" forms that are smart enough to pull in (or ask you to enter) the URL that you'd like to pass along?

A single "Tell a Friend" form can be embedded into several web pages (there's no limit) and a hidden field used to capture the URL of the particular page. If setup correctly, upon submission of the form, the contents of that field (the URL) would then appear in an email alert and/or thank you message.

(Oops! My apologies. I simply edited the title of the article at that second link and POOF! lots of valuable info it contained vanished! We'll have to see what we can do to recover it. Hopefully, there's a cached version available somewhere. I'll get back to you a little later.)

Okay, using Google's handy archiving feature, I was able to get a screenshot of the original article:

(Right-click image and in Chrome choose "Open image in new tab" and when the tab loads, click the image to view it at its actual size)

If you need further help with this method, I'll see if I can create a demo form for you.

Oh, that's terribly difficult to read.  Please do let me know when the article info is back up vs the snapshot.

Also, how will this work with a pop-up?  I have (and prefer) a pop-up for my tell-a-friend form.

The article in our user guide has been repaired. So, there's no longer any need to view the image. As to working with a pop-up, I'll need to check that. Perhaps my colleagues can provide a solution in the interim.

Thanks, still waiting for any suggestions you may have on how to create a pop-up that automatically pulls in a specific URL.

Unfortunately, there is no such feature available.

I would suggest you to clone your existing Tell a friend form or just using the existing embed code and paste it into another page with the hidden field as suggested on the guide in order to to know the exact URL a submission came from
