Multiple File Uploads: Ability to set a minimum number of files that should be uploaded.

    Hi,

Regarding your "photo upload form", is there a way to define a fixed number of photos for users to upload? (ex: users must upload exactly 10 photos).

    Thank you

    Nuno

You can set a limit on the number of files allowed in the File Upload field. Here's a guide:

    1. Select the File Upload field and then click the gear/options icon.

Multiple File Uploads: Ability to set a minimum number of files that should be uploaded Screenshot 30

    2. Go to the "Multiple" tab and turn on the "Limit Number of Files". After that, you can set a value on the next field to restrict how many files are allowed.

You can also create multiple File Upload fields and then set it as required.

    Hope that helps. Thank you.

    Hi Jan,

Thank you for your reply but you don't answer my question: can i set an EXACT number of photos to be uploaded? (ex:  users must upload exactly 10 photos).

We do not have the option to set a minimum amount of files that should be uploaded. What you can do, is to add 10 individual single upload fields, and set them as required, in that way you will ensure that the user must upload exactly 10 photos, see my example here: https://form.jotform.co/50676459127867

Thank you David, that is indeed a good idea. Still, we would rather have the minimum amount option. Can we pay an extra for jotform team to add this feature?

Is it possible for users to edit the code script?

    Best,
    Nuno

We can create a feature request ticket if you like. However, we can't provide a turn around time when will this be available.

Yes, you can download the form's full source code and then upload it in your server. Here's a guide: How-to-get-the-Full-Source-Code-of-your-Form.

Let us know if you want to submit a request ticket. Thank you.

Thank you for your confirmation, I have sent this thread to our second level as a feature request now, as my colleague told you on his last reply we cannot ensure a time frame that this may be implemented, but we will let you know via this thread if there are any news.

Thank you Kevin. Just so we know, what time frame can we expect for the feature request to be implemented? Weeks? Months? A year?

    Thank you

Unfortunately, we can't provide any time frame when will this be available or implemented. However, I can see that this is already assigned to one our developers. We'll let you know once there is an update regarding this.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Hi Jan,
Do you have any updates on this ticket? Two months have gone by and we still have no answer from your side. We need to make a decision soon on the platform to use, and we would love to go with Jotform but we need this feature to be activated.
    Please let us know,
    Regards,
    Nuno

As my colleague Jan explained, we cannot give you ETA for Feature implementation since all features depend on how many people are requesting them.

Your message will reach developer assigned and if there is any update we will inform you through this thread.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Thank you for your reply.
6 months have gone by and still no news. Should we give up and chose another service?
We would rather know if this is going to exist or not, as simple as that, otherwise we will be waiting for something that will never exist.
Alternatively you could tell us the code we need to embeed and we will just us it.
    Thank you for your patience.
    Regards,
    Nuno

Ok Jan, no problem, we understand it.
We have already extracted the source code but we need to know the code line (and where to place it) that allows for the intended feature: MINIMUM 60 files upload.
    Thank you,
    Jose

You will need to add custom script to the source code for the "form-upload-multiple" class on your form. Here are several guides that you can check out:
