Feedback button - form not showing & embedded alignment?

Asked by dan1971 on April 19, 2012 at 05:25 AM

    Hi, 2 questions.

First, when I've tested a feedback button it doesnt seem to bring up the form when its clicked on? Also the alignment is wrong on ms ie (it shows up at the bottom of the page rather than left centre) but renders ok on other browsers see here http://www.ics-online.co.uk/index2.html

Second question, how do I align an embedded form via expression web - so it shows up in the centre rather than left - see here - http://www.ics-online.co.uk/Online-cleaning-quote-form.htm

    thanks for your help

    1. Try chaging your HTML DOC TYPE to this. Check if this makes any differences.

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd">

    2. Your form is already centered, is there any specific parts that we should check? Please let us know.

    Hi Dan,

I have edited your javascript buttons to avoid conflicts with the feedback form. Kindly download this button files and add this to your website. (correct path: http://www.ics-online.co.uk/green.js

Now, find this code on your html file:

    <script src='//d1nu2rn22elx8m.cloudfront.net/buttons/QhAaL/CZ2iC-avbRCHNDqhiU.js'></script>

    and replace it with this:

    <script src='green.js'></script>

Proceed with the orange button. Find this code:

    <script src='//d1nu2rn22elx8m.cloudfront.net/buttons/QhAaL/qDNpd-vjDyAZcPUc8k.js'></script>

    replace it with this:

    <script src='orange.js'></script>

Be sure that green.js and orange.js files are in the correct path.

    Check this preview: http://idarktech.com/test_users_website.html

Hope I have made it clear. Let me know if you are having difficulties with this or if my edited code affects your site. Thanks!
