    Form Calculation: Wait for input before including the field in calculation - not working

    Asked by coigis on September 14, 2016 at 01:10 PM

    Hi,

    I have calculation fields that shouldn't have values until user enters a value. I check the "Wait for input before including the field in calculation" option but still has values in it. Can you please let me know how to clear fields Subtotal A1, Subtotal A2 and Subtotal B when the form first loads?

    Thanks,

    Joy

    It appears to be a bug and I was not able to fix it. A bug report ticket has been attached to this thread and escalated to our developers to see if they can check this further.

    Unfortunately, we do not have a ETA for when this can be fixed, but we will let you know once we have any updates.

    Hi,

    The "Wait for input before including the field in calculation" does not prevenet the calcultion from running.  It just prevents fields that have not been touched from registering their values in the calculation.  If you have {field}-100 the calculation should resolve to -100.

    What you want to do is possible, you need to use an UPDATE condition.

    In the above example this would be IF {field} IS FILLED INSERT {field}-100 INTO {field2}

    Your condition will look something like this:

    Please let us know if you have any questions.
