PDF Report: Changing the design resizes the image even when they have not been changed.

Thanks for the advice. However, I have had this problem before where upon going into "Customize PDF" format, any changes I make will automatically 'shrink' the pictures that I uploaded in the PDF, please see the picture below:

Picture on the left is when I only activated "Show Headers and Texts", map picture uploaded are still the same intended size.

Picture on the right is when I removed the "Step 1:click on ...." texts via the Customize PDF method.

The same thing happens when I try to edit/customize the PDF output by adding colors to the texts

    Appreciate your input on this

Hi @red7eleven1. I am currently doing some tests with a cloned version of your form. I will let you know on this thread about my findings once I am done testing. Regards.

I did some more tests with the cloned form and a test form, and I was able to replicate your issue. When I initially downloaded the submission as PDF, the uploaded image is large.

But when I removed a field using the PDF designer (without modifying the image), the image was resized to a smaller version after I downloaded it again.

However, further tests show that if I set a specific size on the image using the PDF design feature, then that image will remain that size even when I make other modifications.

Here's the downloaded PDF where I set a specific size to the image by dragging the resize icon.

Now when I make further modifications to the PDF design, the image will stay the same size as before. Below is a downloaded file where I removed the Submission Date field. The image is still the same size as before.

Can you please also try setting the size of the image on your PDF designer to see if this resolves the issue? If it still persists, please let us know. Thank you.

    Hi Christian,

Just tried, but am having two issues:

1.) When I tried to save, it says "Report Not Saved"

2.) And any idea why is my picture overlapping with others questions while in your screenshot it looks fine?

    Additional question:

Is there any picture uploading widgets that can allow me to set the exact pixel size so that all uploads will automatically resized?

    Thanks

Sorry for the issues with saving of your custom PDF design, as it is currently not looking good on your end, please first click on the Reset button in the top right corner to reset the design of your PDF:

The fields will be trying to fit in as small space as possible, and the higher the number of form fields you have, the higher the chance that the design will start looking amiss as the fields are being moved around or resized.

After resetting the broken design, you can start off fresh and make sure to set up the Design the way you want to.

When it comes to any other questions you have, in order to avoid confusion, please open a new support thread for each of your questions in the future. You can open new threads through the following link:

I'm afraid not, we do not have the means to control the exact pixel size of the images your users are uploading. We can only limit the actual size of the file itself, by setting the upload file size limits, but pixel sizes cannot be controlled.

    Hi,

After resetting I am still stuck with "Report Not Saved", not sure what's causing it.

    Please advise.

    Thanks

I tested our PDF Design Reset feature and didn't experience any problems. Could you please try Clearing your Browser's cache and then try to Reset your PDF design.

Do get back to us if the issue persists.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

Tried clearing the cache on my chrome but produced the same "Report Not Saved". Tried it on Mozilla but it's the same problem as well

    Thanks

You can delete and reset the custom pdf design using the Report button in your My Forms page.

    #1 Select your form

#2 Click Report button dropdown arrow

#3 Highlight the PDF Design and click delete icon

Let us know if you are still not able to reset/delete the custom PDF this way.

Btw, I see that there were 2 custom PDF design report on your form. It should be only one.. so I suggest deleting both and start fresh.

Let us know if anytime if you encounter any difficulty on the procedures.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

I believe the form is too long and any attempt to change it will just create the problem mentioned. BUt we found a way to work around it.

    Thanks anyways
