How to create a referral form?

Hi - I'm checking if there is a solution for this yet or another way to do it. My client would like a referral form template, in which one of their customers can go, enter their own email address, then the email of the person they would like to refer my client  to, then click send and it will send that person an email saying something like "I love Acme Incorporated for all of my office supply needs and thought you may want to try them too!".

Is there a way to do this, ideally without creating a Mandrill account? Thank you for any suggestoins.

I'm not sure if you want to use the submitter's email as sender, if so, then would be necessary to use Mandril or any other equivalent, but if you do not require this and it is fine for you to send the email from a fixed custom sender email address or from our default sender email then, please follow the steps below.

As you will already ask for the person you want to send the reference, then you may simply create an email auto-responder and send the email to that field, to get more details about this check this guide: Creating-a-Form-Autoresponder

You may also use email notifications and then set up conditions to send the email, this guide will help you to send the email based on conditions: How-to-Send-Email-Based-on-Selection

You may set the condition for example like this: If email field is filled then send email notification to "email field".

Also, in case that you are planing to use a fixed custom sender email address, please check these guides:

    How-to-Setup-SMTP-for-a-Form

    How-to-Send-Email-Based-on-Selection

However, you may also provide us more details about this and we will be glad to further assist you.

    Thanks.
