How do I copy an existing form?

    Hello,

I would like to copy an existing form and make changes to it without changing the original form. I noticed that I can clone a form, however, when I make changes to the new form, it also makes the same changes to the original form. Is there a way to get around that?

    Thank you,

    Carmen

When you clone a form and edit the cloned version all the changes will stay in the clone, they have different IDs and changes are applied based on the form ID.

There are two ways to clone a form, the first one is with the link to it, here is a guide about it: https://www.jotform.com/help/42-How-to-Clone-an-Existing-Form-from-a-URL

The second way is by using the More -> Clone option in My Forms page, this guide will provide you with more details about how to do it: How-to-clone-an-existing-form-from-your-account

I have checked your account and I cannot see any cloned version so far, please clone one of your forms and make sure you're making changes on the cloned version, if you still see these changes being applied to the original version, let us know and provide us the original as well as the cloned form, we will be glad to take a look to it.
