I would like to send the form as a excel spread sheet attachment to the e-mail address along with the confirmation e-mail. I would like to have this information put into a database so reports and tracking can be done. Do we have access to some sort of database where this information stays.

It is currently only possible to send single submissions as an email attachment in PDF format.
Open the email wizard and click on the Advance Settings tab.
Once there you only need to check the option to attach the PDF file on the email:
If you want to send all submission data, you can create an excel report:
And include the link to that report in your notifications.
