How can I create this calculator ish form?

Asked by andersdk98 on September 29, 2016 at 03:55 PM

    Dear JotForm,

I am trying to implement some "design your own sticker opportunity", on my website.

I want people to have the ability to upload their own design and choose size.

And the minimum quantity should be 1000.

This is my site now: https://luxliv.dk/products/design-dine-egne-klistermaerker

This is the "calculator form" I would like: http://en.ultrasshop.com/calc/29675f7/

    Is this possible?

    Best Regards

    - Anders.

    Hi Anders,

I see your Calculator here http://en.ultrasshop.com/calc/29675f7/

This can be achieved using our form also.

Allow me some more time to create a demo form. I'll get back to this shortly.

    Thanks.

Please check my demo form https://form.jotform.com/62728217497971

    It work like this...

I am not familiar with your formula so I just made a test with this calculation.

You can also clone the demo form so you can review it on your Form Builder.

How do I get the uploaded files, and how do I set the correct pricing?

Thank you for waiting. The form created by my colleague Jonathan is using Form Calculation widget. This widget allows you to calculate multiple fields. As you can see, there is a formula for each field.

    Here are the current pricing:

    Width x $1.00
    Height x $1.00
    Quantity x $.1069

In order to change the pricing, you need to adjust the formula. Here's how:

    1. Select the Sub-total field and then click the wand icon.

    2. You'll see the Calculation wizard and the formula. The values highlighted in blue are the pricing.

    ( (width x 1.00) x (height x 1.00) ) x ( quantity x .1069) = Sub Total

The tax field is using a different formula. You can change it by going to the wizard of the "Total with VAT" field.

How do I get the uploaded files?

You can view the uploaded files in the email notification and in the Submission page. Here's a guide on How-to-View-Form-Submissions.

    Hope that helps. Thank you.

    Hi Anders,

In my demo form the VAT is hard coded. You can see it in the 'Total with Vat" Calculation widget. So you can create something similar or just follow the method in the demo.

Don't hesitate to contact us again anytime should you require assistance.

    Cheers

And now it won't calculate the total price.

Please try assigning the Sub-Total field to the Custom Amount Payment option. Here's a guide:

    1. Select the payment field and then click the wand icon.

    2. The Payment Wizard should appear, please click the Next button.

    3. In the Payment Options, select "Collect Donations/Custom Amount Payments" and then choose "Sub-Total" in the "Get Amount From" drop down.

    4. After that, click the Next button and finish the integration.

    Here's the result:

How do people add the products to cart?

Unfortunately, we don't have a feature where the form can be used as a regular shopping cart. You might want to check Prestashop or Shopify for this function.

    Hope that helps. Thank you.

Unfortunately, you cannot specify a minimum value on text boxes. You need to use the "Number" tool instead.

    Here's the result:

Please take note that you need to update the formula in the Sub-Total field and use the new fields then delete the old one.

    Hope that helps. Thank you.
