Save and Continue Later: How long is the information kept in the browser

With the new set up to continue by clicking enbable there's no information on how long it is enabled for - is it forever? Til they clear their cookies on their browser?  Etc.... Also, if they open in a new browser or device do they still have to start over or is it saved?  The video shows the old way - might be nice to update ;).

The information is kept in the user's browser, so they can only continue filling it out on that same browser. If they use a different browser, device, or clear out their cookies, the form will start off blank and they'll have to fill it out again.

The Auto Fill data is saved either until the user clears out their browser cookies, or until the Time To Live period is reached. The default time to live for the Auto Fill saved data is 1 day. If you wish to change this duration to something else, you can access your form with our old Form Builder by appending &old to the end of the URL.

For example, if when you are editing your form the URL is this one:

https://www.jotform.com/index.php?formID=1234567890123456

You would simply add &old at the end to access our old Form Builder interface:

https://www.jotform.com/index.php?formID=1234567890123456&old

In the old interface, you can follow the instructions from the video as to how to change the Time To Live duration. When you are done making changes in the old interface, you can log out of JotForm and clear out your browser cookies. Once you log back into your JotForm account with the old cookies removed, you will once again be on our new interface.

So am I correct in thinking that the new interface does not allow us to change the length of time the form contents will be saved (so they can continue in the same browser, etc)? This is a very important feature for us. We accept grant applications for a period of longer than 4 weeks so if it could even be expanded to 6 weeks, that would be marvelous. Will this feature be added to the new interface? We don't want to do the multi-page option.

That is correct, our new interface does not yet have the means for selecting your Auto Fill duration period. This was a very rarely accessed feature among our 2 million users when we were still using the old interface, so I'm afraid that adding these settings to the new interface does not really have a high priority.

For users who need to access this functionality, for now you need to switch to our old interface by using the &old URL parameter when editing your form:

https://www.jotform.com/index.php?formID=1234567890123456&old

When you are done using the old interface, save your form, and then you can revert back to our current interface by using &reset in place of &old:

https://www.jotform.com/index.php?formID=1234567890123456&reset
