Uploading Submissions with Doc and Docx file extensions

    Hello,

I'm having issues uploading Doc and Docx files as a submission. I tried using both Safari and Mozilla and I receive this error:

"You can only upload following files:

pdf, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, csv, txt, rtf, html, zip, mp3, wma, mpg, flv, avi, jpg, jpeg, png, gif"

However, when I restore the page, it shows as attached. I'm just curious why this is. I almost missed my deadline because of this. Luckily I was able to use a friend's computer. But this was a close one.

    Thank you for your time.

    Hi,

I tested your form here but I could not reproduce the problem.

Are you still experiencing this issue on your side? I've tried both doc and docx file format and it is not triggering errors.

Did you verify the file you've uploaded if it really has .DOCX or .DOC file extension? Perhaps it was different that's why the error was triggered.

    Kindly review. Thanks!

    Dear Barbara,

I've tested your form and submissions. I couldn't see any error.

However, if you want to restrict the file types that user uploads , please find the screenshots below :

    Hello,
I still receive the error. I did verify the files are correct. I saved them
as both a doc and docx extension several times.
    This seems strange.

It seems you're running on a Mac OS Mavericks using Safari browser. So I did a full check using this machine as well on the same browser but I couldn't reproduce the problem.

    Safari 7

    Even on Safari 9

Please keep us updated on the status of this on your side so we can assist you further.
