Changing the layout of the PDF submission

I have edited my PDF formats to appear with our logo, headings etc.  some days they download exactly right, other days they download unformatted.  I check the formatting and everything is as it should be.  On screen my submissions look right, but on download, they revert back to unformatted.  this does not happen every day, but it's happening too often to be helpfu.

    Please advise.

    thank  you

I was able to replicate the issue when I tried downloading a PDF submission. The final output of the PDF submission will be based on the design in the PDF Designer. I have checked the PDF Designer and I can see that it is in default layout. You may need to redesign the PDF.

In the Submissions page, just click the PDF button and then choose "Customize PDF".

In the PDF Designer, you can add images, texts and fields. Please don't forget to Save the changes.

Hope that helps. If you need further assistance, let us know. Thank you.

Ok, but why does it work sometimes, but not all the time?  It only just started over the last few days Jan.

I have over 500 downloads where evrything worked fine, and Inever had to touch the customize button.

    thank you

In addition, it asks for the URL of an image.  When I designed my form, the image was and is stored on the computer.  It is not an internet image, it's a corporate logo.  As I'm noticing, I would have to do this for every submission, and that is just not workable.

It was working perfectly until now.

You can include the headers, text and images from your form without having to customize the PDF.

While viewing your submissions, there is an option to include headers and text in your submissions:

Here is a bit more in depth guide on having your printed/PDF form look like the full contract:

    https://www.jotform.com/help/305-How-to-show-headers-or-text-for-contracts-terms-agreements-in-the-PDF-format-of-a-submission

If the PDF requires more customization, add your images and such directly to the PDF through the customization options.  You should only have to add them once.  If you need a URL for your logo, here is the URL that is used for the logo in your form:

Yes, thank yiou David.  If you look at the picture I included, you will see that I've done that, however it does not download with those things showing anymore.  It did untile just recently.

Since the layout has already been customized, you would need to reset the layout to include them once again:

If that does not work, let us know and we will see what else we can do.

Ok, that seems to work, on quick check.  I will let you know if it solved the full problem.

    Thank  you.
