    Hi,

May I know what you would like to upload? Are you uploading a PDF, word document, spreadsheet kind of form?

If you are uploading a PDF form, you can check this link on how to import it to JotForm: https://www.jotform.com/fillable-pdf-form-creator/. However, please note that PDF forms uploaded to JotForm will not be editable in our form builder. What happens is that the imported or uploaded PDF form can be used to easily collect submissions from your users using the imported PDF form. Here's what I meant:

After uploading a PDF form, this is how it looks like in the form builder. It can't be edited. If you want to use the imported PDF form, you need to download it first.

When you click "Download PDF", you'll see these options, this will allow you to easily collect submissions using that PDF form:

If you are uploading a spreadsheet, you can try this app: https://apps.jotform.com/app/spread2jot

If I misunderstood your concern, please do provide us more information.

    Thank you.

    Hi Charlie

thank you for your quick response. greatly appreciated. I wanted to upload PDF forms. I was not aware I could not modify. it is good though that I can still use them to collect data.

Is there any format I can upload that can be modified?

    thanks

Unfortunately, PDF forms have a different structure and cannot be automatically be converted to an online JotForm form. I strongly suggest that you recreate your forms using the form builder that we have, that will allow you to take advantage of our apps, widgets, features, integrations and other advance settings. The good thing about the online form is you can convert it to a fillable PDF form, here's a guide about it: https://www.jotform.com/help/312-Fillable-PDF-Everything-you-need-to-know-about-JotForm-Fillable-PDF-Creator

You can import forms that are in a spreadsheet or excel format using this app: https://apps.jotform.com/app/spread2jot. But it cannot copy the exact form like the design and layout, it may copy some fields but not all of them, it will still depend on the structure of it.

    I hope that helps.
