Make conditions work with Orderable List widget?

When using the Orderable List widget, I would like to set up conditions (such as showing an additional question) if a respondent moves a certain item to the top of the list. Is this possible? In playing with it, I see I can set up a condition, but I'm not able to make it work. As I type this, I realize I might have to set up the condition to anticipate not only one item being at the top of the list, but all permutations with the particular item at the top of the list.

So if, for example, my list had three options, A, B, and C, and I wanted to show another question if the respondent selected "C" for the top of the list, would the condition need to watch for all variations with C at the top, such as: CAB, and CBA?

This would quickly grow to be unwieldy, in lists where I have several options. But I thought I would ask.

I'm also trying to figure out the proper syntax for the Condition. Copying and pasting from the Submission data set didn't seem to do the trick.

    Thanks for any thoughts,

    Brian

Unfortunately your requirement is not possible to achieve. You cannot add conditions to the Orderable List widget based on the item on top of the list. The orderable list is only designed to allow respondents to arrange a list in the order that they prefer. The data from that list cannot be used for any conditions on the form.

The only alternative I can suggest would be to use dropdown fields for ordering the options. That way, you can use conditions to show a certain field when the user selects a certain option as their Top 1. Here's a demo that you can clone and see it in action: https://form.jotform.com/62839178110962
